According to a report from Bloomberg on Monday, Apple is gearing up to launch its next-generation iPhone 15, with sales expected to commence around September 22.

Whenever Apple unveils a new iPhone model, the high-energy events draw millions of online viewers. Analysts keenly observe these next-gen product unveilings to gain insights into consumer spending trends, while consumers themselves eagerly anticipate a plethora of new features.

Preceding the sales launch, an Apple event is scheduled for the preceding week, either on September 12 or 13, as per the Bloomberg report.

In its fiscal third-quarter earnings report, Apple noted a 2% decline in iPhone sales, amounting to $39.67 billion.

Speaking on the challenging state of the U.S. smartphone industry, CEO Tim Cook remarked to CNBC’s Steve Kovach last week, “The current landscape poses challenges for the smartphone industry.”

The preceding iPhone 14 faced significant setbacks in 2022 due to Covid-related production disruptions at Foxconn facilities in China, impacting holiday sales. Apple is said to be actively diversifying its supply chain across Southeast Asia.

As of now, Apple has not provided an immediate response to a request for comment.
