On the 76th Independence Day of Pakistan, a splendid event was organized by the Pakistan American Merchant Association, in collaboration with the Pakistani American Merchant Association, in Brooklyn, USA. Besides Pakistanis, a significant number of American citizens also participated in this event. The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the recitation of Naat (poetry in praise of the Prophet) and supplications.

The New York police officers joined hands with the Pakistani community to show unity and pride in a grand parade. Instead of singing the national anthems of Pakistan and the United States, different artists expressed their emotions for Pakistan with enthusiasm by beating the drum.

The organizer of the event, Raja Sajid, expressed his gratitude to his companions and the Pakistani community for the successful arrangement of the event. He mentioned that despite being far from Pakistan, they made efforts to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day just like the people in Pakistan.

Actress Reema participated in the event specially and conveyed her congratulations to the Pakistani community. President of the Council of People, Muhammad Rizvi, also lauded the event and wished a prosperous and healthy future for Pakistani expatriates.

Singers such as Saira Naseem, Maleeha Faisal, Saaima Jahan, and other performers showcased their talents. Special arrangements were made for the partners of the event at Pakistani restaurants as well.
